New Year's Eve

Another picture from the Skylon tower. It was supposed to be a picture of our hotel, which was a dive. It was a Day's Inn, and it was not nice. The website said that it was half a kilometer from the Falls, which was great because we could walk everywhere, but i anticipated that we would actually be able to see the Falls. Our hotel was three stories high and dwarfed by the massive Hilton that is in the picture above. There was no cable t.v., the pool was nasty. It definitely wasn't the Sheraton ;) Of course we weren't there to watch t.v. and swim, but Jane wanted to watch the World Junior game at 6:30 a.m. and it's hard to pick it up with no cable.

It was a lot of fun on New Year's eve. There were *so* many people. The traffic was insane. And it was wet. It rained like a mutha... these pictures are from the early fireworks at 9pm
